Kate Hudson's Must Haves: From Her Go-To Protein Powder to $30 Sunglasses
Kate Hudson isn't just an acclaimed actress — she's also a bonafide entrepreneur. She cofounded the athletic wear brand Fabletics alongside Ginger Ressler and wellness brand InBloom. Like acting, her passion for fitness and wellness started with her family. "I grew up that way and watched my parents care for and honor themselves to be strong and healthy and balance it out. . . . I think it rubbed off on all of us except Oliver [Hudson]. Oliver's still working at it," she quips. "I just like to feel healthy. I like to feel strong."
Hudson wants to use her platform to encourage others to take ownership of their health and discover what makes them feel their best. "The way we eat, the way we move, and how we supplement are going to support our mental stability," she explains. Her mission with both Fabletics and InBloom is to make wellness feel less intimidating. "Make it fun, and hopefully, people will start to shift their lifestyle in a way that doesn't feel so hard for them."
After playing the riveting role of Birdie Jay in "Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery," starring alongside Daniel Craig, Edward Norton, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, and Dave Bautista, she decided to pursue her passion for music and released her debut album "Glorious" in 2024. Now, she is set to star in Mindy Kaling's new sports comedy series "Running Point," premiering on February 27, 2025 on Netflix.
Beyond sharing her enthusiasm for the health and wellness space, Hudson let us in on her current product obsessions. From a classic pair of Christian Louboutin Kate Pumps to InBloom's chocolate-flavored vegan protein powder, these are Hudson's must-have picks.

Kate Hudson's Affordable Must Have
You can never go wrong with a pair of black sunglasses, and Hudson agrees: "They go with everything." The shape of the Fifth & Ninth Chicago 53mm Cat Eye Sunglasses ($30) caught Hudson's eye. "They're beautiful, and they're $30!" she remarks. Hudson explains, "No matter how many sunglasses I've had throughout the years, I'll always go back to a great, more structured pair of black sunglasses."
Hudson loves to pair these with jeans, whether with a cute chunky sweater or a trench coat. She even suggests going a little more casual by pairing these sunglasses with sweats and juxtaposing them with a peacoat.

Kate Hudson's Investment Must Have
"You've got to have a red sole in your closet," Hudson says, and for her, it's a pair of Christian Louboutin Kate 100 Leather Pumps ($795). "Especially now that we're out in the world again, we've got to get our heels back on," she says. In her eyes, they're a classic. "[They] go with everything — short dresses, long dresses, jeans." A fun fact: this style is named after model Kate Moss.
These fit true to size, but be sure to look at the sizing chart to match up the American sizing to the Italian sizing. If you're building out your heel collection, we recommend getting a timeless color that goes with everything, like black, white, or a neutral shade.

Kate Hudson's Morning-Routine Must Have
Hudson starts her mornings with a workout followed by a shake loaded with her InBloom line. Her top recommendation is the InBloom Green Protein ($35). It's vegan and plant based. "Our stuff tastes really yummy. If it doesn't taste good, none of it matters," she says. Hudson's go-to morning shake consists of the chocolate-flavored InBloom Green Protein Powder, with InBloom's Essential Elements daily multivitamin and greens powder, oat milk, a banana, a spoon or two of almond butter, and ice.
"Instead of having to take a ton of different vitamins for different things, we should really be talking about the kind of food that we're eating, how we supplement, and what we're supplementing with and why." The formulation of the InBloom line prioritizes high absorption and bioavailability. She explains, "Collagen is great to have alone, but it doesn't absorb in your body as well as if you load that collagen with vitamin C. So if someone's not taking a vitamin C while taking collagen, your body won't absorb it as much." The brand's Beauty Aura supplement powder ($35) exemplifies this, which she likes to use in her shakes as well.

Kate Hudson's Sleep Must Have
Hudson uses her Slip Pure Silk Sleep Mask ($50) every night. She loves the pink one since it's her daughter's favorite color. "The direction in which my bed is in my room, Danny gets all the darkness and I get the one sliver of light I know that comes in. So I was like, do I change my curtains, which is going to cost me too much money, or do I just wear a sleep mask?" She loves the way it feels on the skin, explaining how "it doesn't crease your face or eyes, and it's gentle. It feels cool."

Kate Hudson's Sneaker Must Have
Hudson loves sporting the Nike Revolution 5 Road Running Shoes ($46, originally $60) with pretty much everything, including her Fabletics. "I would style them with sweats, or I'd style them with jeans or even the right dress," she explains. "They're cool looking." She loves how comfortable these are, stating, "I've never worn an uncomfortable Nike shoe." These sneakers have a cushioned feel with added stability at the heel. These sneakers are springy and lightweight, delivering support by absorbing impact and distributing weight evenly.
Hudson likes to work out barefoot, and if she's running, she wears a pair of Hokas. She wears these for the look and for brisk walking.
