I've been working from home since 2020. As a travel writer, I'm either working from my actual home office, or I'm on the go at a hotel, spa, or poolside. In other words, where I choose to work might be beautiful in scenery, but not the most positive situation for keeping good posture. Of course I am conscious of it, so I'll attempt to straighten my back, press my shoulders down, and stand up tall. But if I'm being honest, those moments are few and far between. Needless to say, I've been looking for a more consistent way to correct my posture for good and potentially teach me healthier posture habits.

A friend of mine who swears by her posture supporting bra recommended posture correctors, noting that they make you stay in a more upright position and hold your shoulders back in alignment. There are a variety of posture correctors in different styles, sizes (with adjustable custom fits), and colors — a lot of them tailored to specific needs. It's important to note that posture correctors do not promise an overnight fix, but more so act as a tool that will help you become more aware of where you can make improvements. Ahead, five posture correctors for those looking to ditch the slouch.

Upright GO-2 Posture Corrector Trainer ($70)

Digital posture correctors have been popular over the last decade. The Upright Go 2 is one of the most effective models out there. To use, you stick the adhesive back of the device on your back and download the brand's app. Next, set up the device to your proper posture and throughout the day, it will gently vibrate to alert you of poor posture. Many devotees like the device because of the data delivered at the end of the day indicating how many minutes you spent slumped versus upright with proper posture.

Backembrace Posture Corrector ($70)

Not only does poor posture led to aches and pains, but it can also cause injury if left untreated. Backembrace recommends wearing this device for 20 to 30 minutes when you're starting out. The brace will pull your shoulders back and immediately pull your head and neck back so everything is stacked vertically. However, the straps are placed in the armpits, so if this causes you discomfort, you might want to choose another one on this list.
